I'm a trackball guy (think upside down mouse). They don't hurt my hand the way that most mice do and act as a low level "keep your hands off my system" as 95% of the population can no more use one than they can drive a manual transmission (Americans at least).

This one the right button died a while back and I replaced it. Why do I still have it? Well, "just in case" I need a spare trackball. Yeah, that's kinda how the packrat mind works.

Books I've had for years but never read and some that I will never read again (the Dark Tower Series book 2 was  dud for me). And I'm not sure if I will have the time to build an electric car until long after they become readily available).

Chipped coffee mugs, old CDs I'd forgotten existed, supplies to build window screens (easierr at this point to get new windows, they come with screens...).

More clothes? How is that even possible? I thought I'd tossed out at least 2 wardrobe at this point.

Going to get rid of some of my surplus computer gear this week! most of it has been sitting int he attic for at least a year, most since we moved into the house back in 2009.

One base speaker for a computer. Not sure what happened to the surrounding speakers and this is pretty worthless without them

Cleaning out my desk drawer yielded all sorts of things to get rid of:

 Cool key chain Frisbee launcher, now without any Frisbees!

The lens and laser from either a CRW or DVD, not sure which at this point. I'd read some cool instructions on how to get these working but never followed-up.

A hacky sack from 1996. It's been a hacky sack, a ferret toy, a stress ball, a cat toy and most recently, a baby toy.

Questionable sanitation aside, it is filled with tiny plastic chips that I'm sure are not great to swallow. That and he managed to spitup all over it and I'm sure I'll never get the smell of sour milk out.

 Today I'm tossing two pair of shoes.

The first is my first pair of running shoe. I think I racked about 400+ on these things. All of my first races and the training also went into wearing down the soles of these.

Sadly there comes a time when you have to trade in for a pair that still has some traction. :)

I got this pair for an insane 5000+ mile road trip with my younger brother. The very first stop was a place that had a rock formation call "sole rippers" for the damage that it does to to shoes.

These came through just fine through that and the rest of the trip, but that was in 2012, now a few years of added wear and they've given all they can.

Any way, I'm getting rid of an old Dell LCD monitor. How old? It's a 14" screen with a 4:3 ratio (the more square looking size). I've keep it around for trouble shooting systems, but I have other monitors that do that task.

The point is I have 5 monitors and 1 functional computer. Something had to go.

Here are the rest of the old Staff shirts from my years working at Camp Tuscarora.

Again, they are thread bare, frayed and stained. The only thing that has keep them around (hidden in a deep dark corner so Tina wouldn't find them) is my own sentimentally.

Truly some great times and fantastic memories I have from working there, I probably do not need the shirts.

I'm going to lump them all into a single post and count it as the next 4 days rather than posting  one a day and trying to expound more on getting rid of them.

This a disassembled L-shaped desk that I'm letting go.

I really struggled with this one, as I really wanted this a few years ago and was really happy to have it. However, the added work space never really helped and it was pretty darned big.

I though seriously about trying to save it, but even being as careful as I could, flat-packed furniture just does not stand up well to being taken apart and moved around a lot. This is the 3rd time I've had to disassemble it for moving, and the attachments for the screws are falling apart. Also, I noticed that the actual desk itself has started to sag in the middle quite a bit.

All in all, I probably could store it somewhere and put it back together at a later date, but with no real window on when we'd have enough space again to set it up, it just makes more sense to let it go.

Besides, next time, I may just build one.... :)

One loose tray of assorted stuff left over from a big LEGO sort I did after I required a large bin of LEGO. This is the stuff that were not LEGO or I didn't know what to do with, over time I've eBayed or given away most of the things in this pile that I thought were worth anything. I'm just trashing the rest rather than spinning my wheels trying to find a home for the remainders.

Sorry everyone, I got a little off track last week and didn't get a chance to post the things I was getting rid of, going through a quick catch-up today!

The above a is a set of 3 posters that I've held onto for sentimental reasons (all 3 were gifts). They were fun in college, especially living in the dorms for decor, but they really don't cut for home decor. Which is why they've been moved several times and not put up. They just get moved to a new location, still rolled up and zip tied together.
